Spend to much money at the poker machines in Vegas? I live in Las Vegas, gambling is everywhere!! I only play once a week but never seem to be able to walk away if I still have money in my pocket. is it worth it to travel this far for free play ? I am broke as hell and there is the casino in PA that keeps sending me offers for free play every day. $100 one day, $85 another day, $100 next day etc etc. I assume they are offering these to me because I played alot one night and bet alot. I need ideas to help get business at a VFW? Help! I work at a small town VFW, and our business is in the crapper. All we seem to attract is older clientele, which is no problem, but we can't seem to attract a lot of new members or get the younger members to come in much. First off, we don't have a lot of money to spend, obviously. On the first Friday of the month we do Karaoke, Sunday is free peanut day, and now and then we have a DJ. I know, it's not much. We've tried two theme nights, the first was ladies night about a month ago that went pretty well, and last week was "glow night". I'm not sure how that worked out yet. We have one pool table set up, and two more in the back room that are not set up (the bingo hall is the back room). We have a jukebox and a Megatouch machine. That's it other than rip tickets and a few poker machines that nobody has been playing because nobody can win on them. We have a kitchen that is only open when our pool teams are playing at home, Thursday's for bingo, and on Friday nights. We have two happy hours a day, plus we have the cheapest drinks in town, and there are a lot of bars in town. gambling, a system or no hope? ok, although I am still a noob i have read enough to know about some gambling stuff, i.e counting cards for Blackjack, which doesn't work well since some casinos replenish the shuffler with the old cards in a few hands which sux because they may have bad cards in there. Besides other moron players may take cards when they shouldn't and thus changing back the odds in the casino's favour i.e. dealer could’ve busted. ANYWAYS.....my question is although poker/slot machines are supposably impossible to win even though I’ve seen tons unlock the 'max' option in games and go from $20 to $450 in an instant or play big and then unlock free games which make them get over $300 or minimum to $100. Although admit the longer you play you usually lose it back. BUT I’ve noticed if you play for a bit you at least can get a basic line win that gets you over $10 or $20 around 90 % when you play.. What's the best way to promote my game to gamblers? I just finished designing a fun little online game that's achieved modest popularity amongst the gaming community. It's a unique game based on video poker and is featured on many gaming sites across the web. The thing is, a lot of gamers visiting those sites are young kids looking for action games, and tend to bypass my game. Many of my poker and poker machine-playing friends really enjoy the game but they don't really play online games and that leads me to think that a huge section of the gambling community will never see it. I want to expose it to the gambling/poker playing community because it's the sort of game many of them would love, but I don't really mix with those crowds online, and don't want to be seen to be spamming. I'm not trying to compete with online casinos, as my game doesn't involve real money and doesn't have fancy graphics, but it is addictive, and a nice distraction from real gambling. Grand Theft Auto Vice City Dreams (V)? This is a new episode to the Grand Theft Auto seris that I made up myself. The whole story is based on this 33 year old man nameed George Mckinsey. George had just flown in from Holland, "and specks english well". He has flownen over to San Andreas to robe a bank or casino to pay for his sick dad, living back in The Netherlands. George comes along acouple of dirty, mean and quiet humours criminals. His Georges brother told to not go near then guys, but he did. The two criminals had planed to rob a casino in Los Venturas,The Four Dragons Casino and plain to kill "Wu Zi Mu", "Woozie". They succendently robed the casino but did not get there hands on woozie since he was out in San San Fierro's Chinatown with his gang,"The Mountain Cloud Boys Triads". Woozie's real estate mogul,"Donald Love" was at the casino at the time of the robbery. One of the crimals pushed a poker machine right infront of Love's path and landed straight on Donald's foot. George and the gang flee the scene quickly and head to the airport. Donald wakes up moments after the robbery, "Since he fainted" and rang Woozie. Woozie tells Love to meet him at the airport and to book at plane to Holland... Little did Donald know, Woozie knew that this was going to happen beacuse of a recent robbery of the same crimals before...so he knew they would be back. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Day Before.... They both spotted him so George ran as fast as he could out of the airport to wait till some heat burned.George didn't remeber having a long bag, he had a small bag but George didnt really care about it at the time so left the scene and found a hotel inn to stay at for the night,"There slogan was, If you stay the first night, Its FREE, but the second night...what a bumer". A massive gun war was arrupting ontop of the hotel building. SWAT and police showed up and began to defend themselfs. The building broke onto an angle, the whole building went sideward! There were no rails on the edge either! Dwaine went slidding off the edge and also Woozie. Everyone were hanging was trying to hang onto a vent or somthing. Jethro went back to the bottom of the building and left, and the escape door on the top of the building was locked. Donald took out his pistol and aimed at Cesar, BANG! Cesar let his grip lose and slid off the side. The men in the helicoter had ran out of amo. They chucked out a ladder for CJ,Sweat and George to climb up into the helicoter. As they were climbing up the ladder, Love was still shooting at them...well missing them...Sweat looked at CJ and told him that he needs to leave him and that he will need to keep Grove Street alive. I've never went there before but found the place on yelp. Their reviews aren't bad, just not reviewed by many. Anyways, I called them up and asked how much it was for a car checkup and they wouldn't say until I insisted on knowing. The answer was that the check up is free but they don't know the cost until they know whats wrong. Free? Sounds good, so I went there. Upon my arrival one of the mechanics approached, signal me for the keys and simply drove off... Turns out that he was checking out the car by driving. Could of told me but I guess it's no biggie. Then they lift the hood and told me I need an oil change. I said "How much?" and they replied "$25" (Others on yelp said it was $20). No biggie I guess but I use synthetic so I told them I was asking for the synthetic oil change price. They told me it was $60 and if I want to do it, I have to decide quick. I agreed to the oil change even though I knew I still have around 2000 miles (synthetic lasts 5000-7000 miles right?) While they were changing oil they told me that the two engine belts (while looking under the car) seems worn and need to be replaced, they estimate it would cost $70-$80. (Does that seem right? It's an Infiniti FX45). I asked, what does the belt do, is it dangerous to not replace it now...etc. He answered something about steering, air con, and battery. So I said my car failed to start a few times. He checked my battery and then told me I need to replace it by showing me a piece of paper I don't understand (I recall it was 120v or something, not sure...). Out of fear that my car would die on me on the long trip, I said "Ok...and how much is that?" I was quoted $90 for an interstate battery and told me it was better than my factory original battery. I agreed again. NOW this is the part that got me upset. They took the battery cover and the surrounding rubber off ok. They took the old battery out. ok. Then they put a small machine with something like a hot metal poker near the battery holding place and...BURNED THE METAL surround it (where the rubber battery cover would be put on). I even saw smoke! They saw that I saw and they act like nothing happened. I didn't know what to say or do, I just stood there. Minutes pass by as they attempt to put on the battery and the owner said to me "I should charge you more becuase the batttery is so hard to install" and I finally replied "You burnt my car". They all laughed and the owner said "It's nothing, I'll put the rubber on it". I got upset and told the owner "You can't expect to just burn my car and ask me to drive it home". He insisted it was no big deal. I didn't know what to do. The installment was done, I went to his office, he came and gave me the keys and charged me $150 for the oil change and battery (is it cheap or a rip off? I dunno) and I told him again, he should fix the burn. He told me to come again cuz now he is closed. He said he will put some paint or something on it when I come. I dunno, after the battery incident I have no faith in either yelp or these mechanics anymore. I feel bullied becuase from the minute I arrived till the minute I leave they were never very friendly.
