What happens when you use up all the slots in your motherboard?

Will something bad happpen? Are motherboards not designed that all their slots are used up? I have a 750 watt power supply.

  1. Nothing will still happen, your motherboard will still work. Although I don't know how you can jam that much hardware in there.
  2. Nothing bad will happen. The PCI slots are there for you to use, so use them.
  3. Nothing will happen. But make sure your power supply has the right voltage so that it wont get fried.
  4. It is meant for you to be able to use all slots, however if your power supply isn't high enough then they might not function well.
  5. Nothing. You just wont be able to add anything else.
  6. nah it's alright. as long as u use the jsut about the maximum limit the type of object is inserted. ex. AMD athlon x64 is maximum for that, so don't go further. so that's alright... as long as you know wat u're putting into those slots
  7. You may be able to put (if you know how) a new motherboard with more slots. Some motherboards have more slots than others. Especially aftermarket ones.
  8. You have to feed it meatballs in order for it to remain in working condition.
  9. you run out of slots
  10. It has to be meatballs in sour cream and mushroom sauce because the fat in beef gravy solidifies and makes the fan stop working.
  11. i've got several computers with all the slots in use.. nothing bad there. depending on what you are stuffing in that system you might want to add more fans. All those cards and drives generate heat and cooling might be an issue. Those cards also restrict some air flow as well.
  12. Nothing will happen, as long as your Power Supply can handle the load ( which it sounds like it will) then there's nothing to worry about
